NASA to get makeover under Trump administration, President-elect space policy remains unclear : Politics : Headlines & Global News – TrumpLatest.com

Correspondent Lesley Stahl interviews President-elect Donald J. Trump and his family at his Manhattan home Friday afternoon (November 11, 2016).

The current NASA team might get a makeover with US President-elect Donald Trump.

Nature world news reported that Trump’s NASA transition team is preparing to take over the space agency.

Dubbed as Trump’s Agency Research Team (ART), the group is expected to start immediately in getting familiar with NASA’s working protocols and programs.

The report added that NASA is ready to receive the team with NASA administrator Charles Bolden saying that he is confident that the incoming officials will support the main purposes of the space agency.

However, the rumored team has not turned up at NASA Headquarters as of Nov. 14.

Greg Williams, deputy associate administrator at NASA, reportedly said that they do not know who they are going to talk to in Trump’s transition team as the new administration has not yet revealed the names of its members.

The NASA official also pointed out that they are facing a blank wall on Trump’s inter-planetary policies.

National Geographic reported that Trump advisors Robert Walker and former US congressman Peter Navarro mentioned in an article that space is the frontier in which America’s aspirations can inspire the entire humanity.

Space policy expert John Logsdon has claimed that Trump endorsed space exploration, but it is unsure whether or not he would necessarily go that way.

As NASA mulled on landing people on Mars, it remains to be seen if Trump would make it a reality. Logsdon said that manned missions to the moon for human exploration is also in the offing.
